U14 Midlands League Div 2St. Farnan's booked a place in the league final with a powerful performance against an unfortunate Gaelcholaiste side. This was an excellent team performance from start to finish.
Once Wesley Heavey opened the scoring after 5 mins with a speculative shot from distance, the floodgates opened. Man-of-the-match, Dylan Hannon, scored five goals in an outstanding individual display from the heart of midfield. He was ably assisted by his midfielders, Ryan Casey, Jake Corrigan and Patrick Behan(1). The defence, superbly marshalled by the ever-reliable Evan Dempsey, provided the platform for this impressive victory.
Other scorers included Ireno Lourenzo(2) and Danny Scully(1).
The final of thei competition will take place on Friday 27th Feb against St. Patricks, Naas, with kick off at 11am on their school pitch.
