Denim Day in aid of The Irish Youth Foundation.On Friday the 9th of October we held a Denim Day in aid of The Irish Youth Foundation. This project was organised by 1st year class O Faoilain as part of their 1st year action project. The day proved to be a great success with many of the teachers returning to their youthful state by donning the school uniform, much to the students delight. Through class O Faoilains hard work they managed to raise the sum of 444 euro. This money will go towards helping the Irish Youth Foundations work throughout Ireland.
The mission of the IYF is to provide opportunities for children and young people facing adverse and extreme conditions to experience success in their lives.
Whenever possible IYF seeks to address the underlying causes of poverty, educational disadvantage, homelessness and social exclusion experienced by children and young people.
Class O Faoilain would like to express their extreme thanks to all students and teachers who supported this very worthy cause.
