Dr Bill Cullen addressed 3rd, 5th and 6th year students| On May 19th 2010 Dr Bill Cullen addressed 3rd, 5th and 6th year students in our P.E hall at St Farnans. Also in attendance were students from our PLC course as well as up to 16 members of our PTA. He arrived at 11.30 and left at 1.15 giving freely of his time. During his presentation to students he spoke of the importance of positive attitude, the importance of planning ahead and the need to believe in oneself. At the end of the presentation he had a question and answer session in which one of our fifth year students , Robert Carty got signed copies of Bills 3 published books. Robert is the only student to get a particular boxing question correct in all Bill Cullens presentations to schools, colleges and industry. As this presentation was given freely by Bill it was agreed to make a donation to a charity of Bills choosing. Up to 300euro was collected from students ,staff and PTA members and donated to the Irish Youth Foundation. This was a most worthwhile event and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Bill Cullen for his most interesting, funny and thought provoking presentation |
