1st year 2026 lottery draw & waiting list
The draw for our 1st year enrolment 2026 took place on Friday 7th November overseen by Cllr. Darragh Fitzpatrick and Tanya Flanagan, from our school's Board of Management.
The Board of Management had previously increased the enrolment from the usual 120 to 142 for next year's cohort. There was 2 special class spaces available for 1st years in our Room 25 ASD class and these were firstly filled prior to the mainstream draw for 140 spaces.
All 1st year applicants in mainstream Category 1 & 2 were immediately accepted into St Farnan's PPS for next August.
The waiting list lottery draw then took place for Special Classes (15 on waiting list) and mainstream places (47 on waiting list).
All accepted applicants should have received an offer letter and forms to be completed and returned to school by Wednesday 26th November.
Please remember that parents can only ACCEPT ONE school placement and cannot hold/accept multiples of school spaces for their child. You may remain on multiples of waiting lists even if you have accepted a school placement in any school.
To the 62 applicants who have received a 'Refusal to Enrol due to Oversubscription', you will have been sent a letter stating where your child currently sits on the waiting list. This list may move if students accept other school placements elsewhere.
If you are accepting a school placement elsewhere, please either email or call into the school office to let us know as soon as possible so that we can move on our waiting list.
Thank you,
Andrew Purcell
