Final Report on the school's 10th year of partnership with SAP Ireland
21st Sep 2024
St. Farnan's is fortunate to be a part of the World of Work programme, organised by Business in the Community (BITC), in which we are partnered with SAP Ireland.
The World of Work (WOW) Programme is an innovative programme aimed at giving students an insight into the workplace and some of the careers being pursued in Ireland today. SAP Ireland are very committed to our school and their staff, together with the school's coordinator, Ms. Flanagan, deliver this programme to selected students in 2nd Year. We were especially delighted to celebrate 10 years of partnership with SAP this year.
Based on five sessions over the course of an academic year, the World of Work Programme gives students an insight into the workplace and ideas about careers they may not have previously considered. SAP employees gave informal talks to the students about their jobs, their career path and the life choices that they took along the way and there were soft skills sessions on presentation and communication skills, teamwork and sustainability.
