Last week 30 Leaving Cert Biology students participated in the Biology Practical day organised by the Biology Department and the Maynooth Access Programme. The students got to complete the 6 most commonly referenced leaving cert experiments. The students were able to ask questions about the experiments to post graduate students and also talk to them about how they have found studying science at 3rd level. Our students gain so much from this day every year and I am sure it will be of benefit to all the students in both the upcoming mocks and Leaving Certificate exam in June.
