Safe Routes to School - St Farnan's Post Primary School, Prosperous, Co Kildare - Parent Survey

15th Apr 2025

The Infrastructure Officers in Louth, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow Safe Routes to School Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce have been carrying our traffic and safety surveys of our school area recently.

This was very useful in relation to where the students are traveling from, how they are traveling to school, and the type of issues there may be in relation to active travel.

Please see the following results: 1. An infographic presenting the survey results

Always remember to have safety at the forefront of your thoughts coming and going to and from school please. It is very busy in Prosperous. Student must only cross the main road at the pedestrian lights, main traffic lights  and designated traffic lollipop lady crossings only. Parking and drop-offs should be done legally and please be cognisant of your car's speed at all times. We have well over 1000 young people entering the gates of St Farnan's and Scoil an Linbh Íosa all within a short distance and a narrow road system - please take care.
